SSYH provided the CFDFL with technology upgrades and advanced IT solutions that have increased efficiencies across key accounting departments, significantly improved the management of expenses and reporting turnaround times, and allowed the management team to allocate more resources toward providing the critical services that CFDFL is renowned for.
SSYH installed and integrated Microsoft Dynamics ERP for their Accounting and Human Resource requirements and Management Reporter, specific software used for financial reporting and analysis.
“Now, we can quickly publish our financial reports online. It’s much easier and much less time consuming and aggravating,” says Jeff Miller, Accounting Manager. “And no more reams of paper to collate. We get our reports out to our Directors much more quickly and they can access everything at their convenience. Our systems are now integrated and everything is viewable online – almost fully paperless. With electronic pay cards and direct deposit options, no paystubs are needed and employees don’t have to physically pick up paychecks.”
Thanks to a single point of entry, automation of manual processes and employee web access to needed information, The Center for Drug Free Living is now able to manage their expenses and reallocate resources toward critical services. Their human resource department finally functions autonomously from AP/AR.
Jeff also notes, “Our payroll was a manual process and people from the different locations had to stop by the main office to pick up their checks. It was very inefficient. We were doing our financial reports on paper. It took two reams of paper just to print the copies needed to distribute reports to 25 directors. With 200 reporting units to incorporate and hundreds of pages to collate each and every time a report was generated, it was a huge drain of manpower, time and money.”
