Michael
Broadmeadow
Financial Systems Support Consultant
Each
quarter, SSYH lets you get to know one of our employees a little
better. This quarter's featured employee is Michael Broadmeadow,
Financial Systems Support Consultant.
Michael
Broadmeadow joined the staff at Stanley Stuart Yoffee & Hendrix,
Inc., in February of 2004 as the Financial Systems Support
Consultant for our in-house Help Desk. He is available to help
support clients with any immediate issues they may have
regarding Microsoft DynamicsTM SL, Microsoft DynamicsTM GP and
Microsoft DynamicsTM CRM, as well as SSYH’s add-on modules,
National Accounts for Microsoft DynamicsTM SL, AR Collections
Manager for Microsoft DynamicsTM SL, Group Calendar for Microsoft
DynamicsTM CRM, and rsLink Integration for Microsoft DynamicsTM SL
and Microsoft Retail Management System.
Michael is
also available to explain the functionality of the software, to
help ensure that our clients understand how to product
functions. Michael enjoys helping users with solving problems
and helping them get the most out of their investment. His goal
is to help clients as quickly and efficiently as possible, and
minimize any downtime with their systems/processes.
Before
coming to Stanley Stuart Yoffee & Hendrix, Inc., Michael gained
over 20 years of experience working in various IT functions.
Each position required working with the end users, solving their
problems, explaining functionality, and provide training on
various software products. The extensive knowledge he has gained
over the years in both IT and Business Systems has allowed
Michael to support clients in a timely and efficient manner.
Michael is
originally from Cumberland, RI, but has lived in Florida for 22
years. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Management Information
Systems from Florida International University and an MBA with
Specialization in MIS from Nova Southeastern University. He
currently lives in Orlando. In his spare time, Michael enjoys
spending time with his family, traveling (especially to Las
Vegas), music, reading, trying out new restaurants and learning
to master Su Doku puzzles.

What's
New at SSYH
All of us at SSYH wish you and the rest of your team a
happy spring! Our South Florida office has moved to 500 W.
Cypress Creek Road in Fort Lauderdale, and we look forward to
seeing all of our clients at an open house to be held in the
next few months. We will update you with further details
shortly!
SSYH has exciting news on the family front! Lars
Leibkuchler,
Financial Systems Consultant, recently welcomed his second
child - a baby boy born on March 1, 2006! Lance Michael came in at 8 pounds 4 ounces.
Eight new clients located in cities throughout Florida,
including Apopka, Celebration, Deerfield Beach, Heathrow, Pensacola
and St. Cloud, as well as Brookings, OR and New Orleans, LA, were
recently added. Our new clients represent numerous industries
including construction, education, government, hospitality,
financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and software
development. We would like to welcome them to the SSYH family!

Tips & Tricks from the HelpDesk
Do you need help from SSYH?
SSYH has an in-house support area that is available for
help with Microsoft Dynamics SL, Microsoft Dynamics GP and
Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Support can be obtained by calling (800)
670-0059 and selecting extension 122. You may also email your
support questions/issues to our help desk at
ssyhsupport@ssyh.com.
When emailing, please include any screen shots or error messages
that will help solve your issue.
FRx
Have you
added a new account that does not appear on your FRx reports?
-
Review your Row
Format to ensure you have not excluded the new account.
-
Delete the *.g32
files in the Sysdata folder. All users should exit FRx before
performing this task.
-
Rerun the FRx
server-based indexing scripts. All users should exit FRx before
performing this task. Contact SSYH for help when running this
script.
Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon)
You printed checks, but they are not showing on a check
register or in the Vendor's account:
-
Go to Accounts
Payable > Check Update
-
Press F3 in the
Batch Number field
-
Select the batch, select "Keep for the Handling", and click
on Begin Processing. The checks should now appear on the check
register and in the Vendor's account.
Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
You have modified a report, but the changes do not show
when a user runs the report. You must provide the user with access
to the modified report:
-
Go to Tools >
Setup > System Security
-
Enter the
password.
-
Select the User
ID.
-
Select the
Company.
-
Select "Microsoft
DynamicsTM GP (Great Plains)" for the Product.
-
Select "Modified
Reports" for Type.
-
Select the Series
for the modified report (i.e. Financial, Purchasing, etc.).
-
The list of
modified reports for the series will display.
-
Double click on
the report. An asterisk (*) next to the report indicates the
user will have access to it.
Crystal Reports
All Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) reports are written
using Crystal Reports. Each Microsoft Dynamics SL version requires a
specific version of Crystal:
Upgrades

Convergence Report
For those that attended Convergence 2006, your head is
probably still spinning from all of the facts, fun and
festivities. If you missed Convergence, you will want to mark
your calendars for 2007. Every year this conference gets bigger
and better and this year was exceptional. Microsoft provided a
variety of sessions from hands-on labs to discussions on
industry trends. Bill Gates also provided partners and customers
with insights into the vision of Microsoft Dynamics and
Microsoft's commitment to building "People Ready" software. Be
sure to look for the flood of new radio, television and print
advertisement communicating this vision.
In the Exhibit Hall was a display of enhancements for Microsoft
Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics GP that extend the power of
these solutions for your industry. You will be learning more
about these products in future SSYH Product Spotlights. However,
if you are looking to eliminate time consuming and costly tasks
from your business, please contact SSYH. You no longer have to
accept these challenges as "necessary evils" within your
operation. We would be happy to discuss your needs, identify
