Rachel Johnson

Financial Systems Consultant

 

Each quarter, SSYH lets you get to know one of our employees a little better. This quarter's featured employee is Rachel Johnson, Financial Systems Consultant.

Rachel Johnson joined the staff at Stanley Stuart Yoffee & Hendrix, Inc. in July of 2004 as a Financial Systems Consultant focusing on consulting and project management for Microsoft Dynamics GP implementations.

Before coming to SSYH, Rachel spent five years as a Senior Consultant at an Atlanta-based Microsoft Dynamics GP consulting firm. Her prior experience gave her exposure to a vast client base using a variety of solutions that spanned the entire product line of Microsoft Dynamics GP. The opportunity to work with clients in a large number of industries with differing solution needs and client bases gave her an excellent foundation to manage both small and large implementations and overcome challenges.

Rachel chose to join the SSYH team for the quality of staff and devotion to successful client solutions, as well as a strong working relationship with Microsoft. She feels that these qualities have helped her to grow as a consultant. Her goal is to provide superior Microsoft Dynamics GP solutions and consulting experiences for SSYH’s clients, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.

Rachel is an army brat, born in Stuttgart, Germany. She later spent twelve years in Atlanta, before moving to Orlando in 2004. She attended Kennesaw State University in Georgia, where she majored in Accounting. Rachel is a Master Certified Microsoft Dynamics GP Consultant. She is also WennSoft Job Cost and Service Management Certified. She has won the SSYH Spirit Award for the last two consecutive years.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys hiking, bike riding and running in remote areas where she can relax and escape the pressures of everyday. She enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever / Yellow Lab mix, Hanna.

  WHAT'S NEW AT SSYH


All of us at SSYH hope you and the rest of your team had a happy and safe Fourth of July!
  

SSYH was recently awarded the Microsoft Gulf States Area Manager’s Excellence Award in recognition of Microsoft Dynamics Excellence in Construction Solutions in 2007. This award honors the Microsoft partner whose commitment to clients within the construction industry is reflected in their business performance. "This is a great honor and the recognition is much appreciated," says Reagan Stanley, SSYH Chairman. "We as a firm have focused heavily on the ever expanding construction market this past year, and it has allowed SSYH to grow stronger and also better support existing clients in supply chain, not-for-profit, financial services and hospitality/entertainment."

 

We look forward to seeing all of our clients at a Client Appreciation Event and Open House to be held on September 20, 2007 at our South Florida office. We will update you with details shortly!

  TIPS & TRICKS FROM THE HELPDESK


Do you need help from SSYH?

SSYH has an in-house help desk that is available for help with Microsoft Dynamics SL, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics RMS. Support can be obtained by calling (800) 670-0059 and selecting extension 122. You may also email your support questions/issues to our help desk at ssyhsupport@ssyh.com. When emailing, please include any screen shots or error messages that will help solve your issue.


Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon)

Are you printing batch reports and don’t need them or do you want batch reports to print automatically? Follow these steps to configure the batch report printing process. Please note that these steps will impact all modules:

  1. Select General Ledger>GL Setup.

  2. In the batch information section, check the Automatic Batch Reports option to have the batch reports print when a batch is released. Uncheck this option to stop reports from printing automatically.

  3. Remember that these steps apply to all modules.

Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)

Are you wasting time and paper by printing reports that you don’t need? Follow these steps to configure how reports are generated:

  1. Select Tools>Setup>Posting>Posting.

  2. Select the Series (i.e. Financial, Sales, Purchasing, etc.).

  3. Select Origin. Select ‘All’ to display all Applications for the Series or choose the appropriate application.

  4. The reports that are generated for the series will display under the Reports section.

  5. To stop a report from generating/printing uncheck the Print box (located on the left most column).

  6. To change the way a report is printed select the appropriate option under the Send To column:

    1. ? – User is prompted each time the report is generated to select the output destination.

    2. Screen – The report is displayed to the screen.

    3. Printer – The report will print to a printer.

    4. File – The report will print to a file. You will need to choose the appropriate File Type.
